Produce World finance team get on their bikes

The senior finance team at leading vegetable producer the Produce World Group have completed a 180 mile charity bike ride.  Starting from the company’s HQ at Lynch Wood in Peterborough Group Finance Director, Phil Jones and senior team members James Barker, Nick French, Wayne Burbidge and Rob Edwards cycled to Cromer on day one, with support provided by Jim Field.

Produce World Supports Thorpe Hall Hospice Plans

The Produce World Group has been getting behind the plans of the Sue Ryder Hospice at Thorpe Hall in Peterborough in more ways than one. Staff, family and friends spend a day helping to clear the Hall’s walled kitchen garden. In addition the company, which is the UK’s leading grower and supplier of fresh vegetables, made a donation of £1400 towards Thorpe Hall’s fundraising for a new hospice.

Produce World Welcomes Schoolchildren at Food and Farming Event

Colleagues from the Produce World Group have been busy helping school children visiting the Kids Country Food and Farming Day at the East of England Showground to make animals out of vegetables, and to learn about this important part of their diet. More than 5000 schoolchildren attended the event, which is sponsored by the Tesco Eat Happy Project, and is the largest educational farming event in the UK.

Produce World Donates Seats of Learning!

The Produce World Group at Chatteris has donated benches for the playground of a local primary school. Provided with a list of equipment that the school was looking for, colleagues at the Chatteris site decided that the benches would have a most lasting impact on the school.

Produce World gives its FareShare

The Produce World Group has opened its fields to a team of volunteers from Gleaning Network UK to allow them to ‘glean’ cauliflowers for the charities FareShare and the Ferry Project. Produce World, the UK’s largest grower and supplier of fresh vegetables, has been working with FareShare for a number of years.
